Teaching isn’t really my thing. Are there other types of jobs I can apply for?

To work for a Korean company as a normal employee, you would have to prove that you’re more qualified than a korean who could do your job. Also you would have to be able to speak Korean.

Where I lived there was about 8,000 foreigners, and only about 200 or so were teachers, The rest of the people worked as engineers / chemical scientists etc in the shipyards. These guys were not employed by the shipyard owners (Samsung and Daewoo) rather, their companies had contracts with these companies to make ships / oil rigs/ containers etc and they were there overseeing the projects. In other cases their company just had a plot in the shipyard that they leased of the owners.

You could work as a journalist, proofreader, curriculum writer, etc. You could basically do any job that you could do at home, if you could get transfered there.
