Most teachers teach blocks with 10 or 15 minutes before classes. If you have an hour or two or more to kill between classes, it can make the day seem longer and tire you out. However, I worked split shifts for two years and had four hours between classes. Luckily I lived close enough to school and was allowed to leave, take a nap, have a leisurely lunch, or do some shopping before I went back. If you do have to work split shifts, find out if you’re allowed to leave the school.
