There are many ways to earn a higher salary in Korea.
The first is teaching in the countryside. Since you’ll sacrifice many of the amenities you’re accustomed to, you’ll often get an extra $100 or $200 each month. A second common way to get more money is to work more hours. POLY is one hagwon that offers many overtime hours. So again, if you want to make more, you’ll have to sacrifice your free time. Perhaps the best way to get more money is to land a uni gig. By teaching at a university, you will often get a higher salary, teach less hours, and have more vacation time.
