Additionally:
Don’t look old people in the eyes.
Don’t touch people on the head (including children).
Never give or receive something with your left hand.
Understand that written contracts are not set in stone like they are in western countries. (Be flexible)
If you get into any conflict with a superior (doesn’t happen often), try to keep smiling and not get angry. Laughing about disagreements helps a lot, especially when language barriers exist.
If you can, find something you really like or admire about the country or culture, and let your Korean friends know you like it. Koreans are fiercely proud of their culture and love it when westerners approve or admire something about it.
